Lancée en 1989 pour succéder à la 328, la 348 a marqué un tournant décisif pour Ferrari. Le design signé Pininfarina se caractérise par les lamelles horizontales qui surplombent les feux arrière et les grandes prises d’air latérales, clairement inspirées de la légendaire Testarossa.
